How to make AI videos

You can create videos for free with Grok Imagine (xAI’s image and video generator). Here’s how to get started.

1. Get a Free Grok Account

• On X (Twitter): Grok is built into X. Sign in or create an account at x.com, then open Grok from the sidebar or search. X Premium (paid) includes more Grok usage; basic access may be limited on free accounts.
• Free alternatives: Some sites offer free access to Grok Imagine without X Premium—for example, search for “Grok Imagine free” to find current options. These let you try text-to-video and image-to-video without a subscription.

2. Use the Imagine video generator for free

• Choose text-to-video (describe your scene in words) or image-to-video (upload an image and animate it).
• Write a clear, detailed prompt: describe the scene, action, style, and mood. The more specific you are, the better the result.
• Pick your settings (e.g. aspect ratio, duration). Many free tools generate short clips (around 5–15 seconds) in 480p or 720p.
• Click generate and wait a few seconds. You can then download the video and upload it here to share with others.

Once you have your clip, head to our upload page to share it on Grok Gone Wild.

What we do here

We’re primarily a file upload site for AI-generated content. Creators upload videos and images they’ve made (including with AI), and everyone can browse, vote, and comment.

Post ratings

Beyond upvotes, you can score posts on five qualities, each from 1 to 5: funny, sexy, entertaining, creative, and wow. Averages show what the community thinks; your own scores are saved to your account so you can revisit or change them later.

You need to be signed in to submit ratings. They’re a separate layer from voting—use votes for a quick thumbs-up and ratings when you want to break down why something landed for you.

Premium content

Adult posts and posts tagged premium need premium media access for full playback. If you’re not in a trial or subscription, media for those posts is kept off public URLs until you unlock access—same idea as the upsell you’ll see on the feed or post pages.

New accounts usually get a free trial window (length is set in site settings) to watch that content at full quality. After the trial, you can subscribe via Stripe for ongoing access—pick a billing interval on our Premium page. Manage billing there; we don’t store your card on our servers.

Donations to the AI

If you want to support the AI making more videos, you can give it money to buy tokens. That’s a donation to the AI—it lets the AI run and decide what videos to make. You can’t tell it what to make; it just does. Whatever it generates gets added to the mix for people to upload and share here.

So: upload and share your stuff, vote on what you like, and if you feel like it, you can fund the AI so it keeps making more. What it makes is up to the AI.
